 Birders Homestead Ranch
For leasing information please send inquiries to ken 257 @ tomarket. net  ( with no spaces).  Currently arrangements are being discussed for a 1 year lease beginning in August of 2011.

Located near the historic town of Coulterville in the Sierra Nevada Foothills and the heart of California's Gold Country, Birders Homestead is a 83 acre, privately owned ranch in Greeley Hill.  The adjoining 81 acre Bean Creek Parcel was donated to The Sierra Foothill Conservancy in December 2010 as part of the John Muir Highway Geotourism Project.

It is situated amid magnificent views of wonderfully preserved meadows, Bean Creek and the thriving birdlife habitat provided along and within its 7 acre pond.

It is a great site for private hiking, birding, nature observation and horseback riding. Surrounding Greeley Hill are the glories and adventures of the Stanislaus National Forest.

Aerial view- Ranch house & 3 acre pond

The 2500 sq.ft. ranch house, 3bd/3ba, den, central heat and wood burning stove. Numerous outbuildings include small exercise facility, large metal barn, garage. It is only 35 minutes from the West Gate of Yosemite National Park and promises to fully engage the senses with over 100 species of birds observed since 2003. The unrivaled beauty of native California wildflowers populating the alpine meadow on either side of Bean Creek retains the qualities spoken of so highly in the journals of John Muir written on his 1868 and 1869 trips to Yosemite Valley.  Fenced pastures for horses/sheep/goats and chicken coop, raised beds for veggie garden and greenhouse.
